Direct Whitening is a UK based company that offers a professional teeth-whitening service at a fraction of the cost of cosmetic dentistry.
Prices start at £99 and include professional teeth impression paste and trays which enable you to make your own dental impression. This is then returned the laboratory and professionally made mouth trays are sent back to you by return post.
The kit also includes four syringes of tooth whitening gel, a metal dispensing tip, full instructions and advice from the Direct Whitening dentist.
What is Direct Whitening?
You can choose between the two strengths of gel available. There is the 22% High Intensity Gel which is the standard strength and adequate for most staining, or the 35% Most Effective Gel for a faster working effect. This is at the slightly higher price of £115.00.
The hydrogen carbamide gel used in the treatment is manufactured by market leader Brighter Image in the USA. The gel has been tested for safety in the UK and rated number one in a survey against other manufacturers.
Direct Whitening offers a quality service and effective teeth whitening solution. The product is safe yet with a high level of active bleaching ingredient that should ensure maximum results. The price of the treatment is reduced if you decide to bleach with your friends and buy in bulk.
Direct Whitening Disadvantages
The major disadvantage to Direct Whitening is the price which at £99 per person plus postage charges puts this product at the higher end of the pricing scale. There is not a laser option available and refills are expensive at £49 for six syringes. Although this is not a bad deal, there is not an option to buy in smaller quantities.
Very little independent customer feedback available is slightly worrying but there are many satisfied customer testimonials on the website.
Direct Whitening…. Verdict
Direct Whitening is a good quality product that is advertised as being an alternative to having the whitening carried out professionally by a cosmetic dentist. While this is true, it is still a home whitening kit and other home whitening kits are available at a lower price.
The lack of a laser whitening option is disappointing because this is an easy way to speed up the whitening process and maximise the bleaching effect. However, for anyone looking to carry out home whitening effectively this would probably be a good product. But there are less expensive versions that offer more, on the market.
